Business Need

Hill House Care Home is one of two care homes owned by the same independent family company. It is the larger of the two homes and had been enhanced through a purpose-build extension in 1990 as well as an extensive refurbishment in 2014. With this in mind, they continue to keep up to date with the latest refurbishment to the main care home entrance area.

Our Role

Part of our remit was to improve the lobby area of the Care Home to enable easy access for all residents and visitors at all times with our automatic single sliding door system. We installed two new entrances to form a lobby with wide door leaves creating ease of access for wheelchair users and all visitors.

The Outcome

With the old manual doors removed, we installed two automatic electrically operated single sliding aluminium door packages which have greatly improved ease of access to and from the building. An entry system is now in place with an electric locking system for added security and the latest monitored safety sensors fitted as standard. The energy efficiency is also greatly improved with heat loss in that area to a minimum. The client was very pleased with our friendly and efficient engineers and the functionality of the new doors.

Hill House Nursing Home now has a fresh new image giving the best first impression to visitors for years to come.
